WHY
I'M DOING THIS... YET AGAIN
This
is actually my third attempt at trying to lose monstrous amounts of
weight. And now I know why I've failed other times. A few months ago, my
doctor gave me a blood test to check for the prescence of H. Pylori, the
bacteria that causes ulcers. As it turned out, I tested positive, and it
was deduced that I'd been living with this disease for about 10 years,
without anyone every considering that it might be the reason why I got
sick every time I ate.
The course of action was a "cocktail" of a bunch of different medicines,
mostly antibiotics. I had to take a different pill every two hours, for 2
weeks, and ended up getting very sick and infected because of the changes
in bacteria levels in my body. But, by the end of it all, it was like
having a new stomach. While my lactose intolerance became more severe, I
didn't get sick while eating anymore. It was the most fantastic feeling!

for my height of 5'4". A really, REALLY scary thought. And it's definitely
noticeable to me now, not only while looking in the mirror, but in terms
of the increase in problems with my back.
My doctor and I discussed how I should approach this, and there are
two things I need to focus on 1) exercising more frequently and
rigorously, and 2) learning how to eat properly and regularly. So, here we
go:
